Section 643
Not to be employed for more than eight hours:

(1) No person shall be employed for a period of more than eight hours in a day.
(2) If someone is to be employed for a period longer than what is written in sub-section (1), the consent of the employee must be obtained, and when employed in such a manner, eight hours shall be considered as one day and additional wages shall be paid in the same proportion for each hour worked in excess.
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (2), the provisions of that sub-section shall not apply to the employment of a domestic helper. Explanation: For the purpose of this section, "domestic helper" means a person employed in the household work as required at any time. .
